Instrument Overview

Soil respiration is an important process of carbon cycling in soil ecosystems, which is the result of soil carbon assimilation, dissimilation, and balance. It is also the main pathway for carbon to return from terrestrial ecosystems to the atmosphere. It is a characterization of life activities in soil, and accurate measurement of its release is the key to evaluating biological processes in biological systems; By monitoring soil respiration and its related parameters, the response of roots and soil microorganisms to climate change can be estimated. The soil respiration meter can simultaneously display changes in CO2, H2O, temperature, and humidity inside the breathing chamber.
