The soil moisture and drought information management system aims at drought resistance and disaster reduction, with real-time moisture, agricultural conditions, water storage and diversion situation of water conservancy projects as data sources. It uses advanced soil moisture sensors and other advanced equipment, combined with mathematical models suitable for the region, and relies on computer network environment to establish a decision support system that integrates moisture information management, query services, and prediction analysis. It scientifically formulates drought resistance scheduling plans, provides decision support for correct command of drought resistance and disaster relief, and reduces disaster losses.

The host of the soil moisture information management system adopts an IP65 protection level rainproof design and is equipped with a large-sized LCD display screen, which can display the collected data and curve graphs of various sensors in real time, and can set the collection interval time. The communication method is flexible and can be equipped with wired or wireless (GSM/GPRS). The recorded data can be downloaded and exported to the computer at any time, stored as an Excel spreadsheet file, and data curves can be generated for further data processing by other analysis software. A. The GPRS communication method collects data from collection points and uploads it to the network through GPRS. Users can log in and view data on any computer with internet access, which is stable and reliable, solving the problem of frequent communication disconnections in the same industry using China Mobile’s wireless IP transmission. The data is stable and reliable, and there is no need to worry about sudden disconnection. Communication costs are charged based on traffic, suitable for application models with large amounts of data.
B. The GSM communication method uses SMS for transparent data transmission. As long as the mobile network signal covers the area, data transmission can be carried out without being limited by geographical environment. The data can be sent to the user’s set mobile phone number or designated computer. The communication cost is calculated according to China Mobile’s tariff, which is suitable for application modes with small data volume.
C. The 3G communication method utilizes the networks provided by the three major operators to upload data from collection points. Users can also view data through network connections on any computer. The advantages of 3G are fast transmission, stability, and the ability to transmit large amounts of data. It is widely used in video transmission and other fields, but the disadvantage is that the network coverage is small. However, this communication method is the trend of future development.
A single data acquisition system can achieve vertical six point synchronous detection for multiple monitoring points. Each sensor has high accuracy, stable performance, and low power consumption.
