KMA-2D Microcoulometry Comprehensive Analyzer adopts dynamic microcoulometry principle, which adopts oxidation method to oxidize the sample to titratable ion through cracking furnace. It titrates in titrating cell and calculates out the sulfur or chlorine content in sample according to the consumed electricity quantity during titration process and the Faraday’s law.
It has features of stable and reliable performance, easy operation, high analysis accuracy and good repeatability.
Working Principle
KMA-2D microcoulometry comprehensive analyzer adopts microcoulometry titration principle, zero balancing working method designed coulometry amplifier, titration cell and eletrolyte solution form a closed-link negative feedback system. The instrument’s working principle is as follow:
Titration cell reference electrode provides a constant reference potential, together with measuring electrode forms indication electrode couple and generates a voltage signal. This signal adds in the input end of coulometry amplifier after series-opposing connects with additional given bias voltage. When two voltages are equal, the amplifier input and output are zero. There is no current pass between electrolysis electrode couples and it is a smooth straight line(called base line) on the instrument display screen. When the sample is injected by injector into cracking tube, the tested substance in sample can generate titration ion through reaction and enters with carrier gas into titration cell for titration. The titrant concentration change causes indication electrode couple potential change. The change value is input to the microprocessor controlled microcoulometry amplifier, then adds on electolysis electrode couple(anode, cathode) after amplified and generates titrant ion on anode. The process continuously goes on with the contant consumption of iron till balance when the generated titrant ion exactly supplements consumed titrant iron. The bias voltage value returns to the given bias voltage value again and the instrument recovers balance. During the process, the instrument can determine the tested substance content in sample according to the consumed electric quantity of generated titrant ion and through computer processing.
