The instrument is designed and manufactured according to the requirements of the People’s Republic of China GB/T 17144 “Measurement method for residual carbon in petroleum products (micro method)” and ASTM D4530 for the determination of carbon residue in petroleum products.The range of residual carbon measured by the instrument is: 0.10% (m/m) to 30.0% (m/m). The holding product of carbon residue exceeding 0.10% (m/m) is equivalent to the measurement result of Kang’s carbon residue method (GB/T 268).This instrument is also suitable for petroleum products whose residual carbon value is less than 0.10% (m/m) and consists of distillate oil. However, 10% (V/V) distillation residue should be prepared by gb/6536 method first, and then used. This instrument is measured.
