Single Consolidation Apparatus Portable
Standards:
ASTM D3080; BS 1377:7; AASHTO T236, TS 1900-2, CEN-ISO-TS 17892-10
Description:
It is used for soil compression test to detect the relationship between soil pressure and deformation, calculate soil unit sedimentation, compression index, rebound index and consolidation coefficient.
Use and maintenance:
Place the instrument stably and place the lever between the lifting brackets to avoid friction.
Prepare the soil sample according to the geotechnical test procedures, put it into the retaining ring and put it on the permeable stone in the container, and then put the permeable stone on the upper end. Place the pressure plate in the middle of the pressure frame and install the dial indicator. Rotate the hand wheelclockwise to make the lifting rod rise to the top, and then rotate it anticlockwise for 1-2 revolutions, then align the pressurization with the pressing plate, adjust the screw at the upper end of the beam, so that the container part can be taken and placed freely when the frame is upward, and then apply a preloading load of 1kpa according to the geotechnical operation (25.5g for the 750px2 sample). Adjust the gauge so that the pointer reads zero. Later, load shall be added step by step according to the regulations (write down the preload weight before loading).
After loading, always watch the lever sinking or rotate the handwheel in a counterclockwise direction as required to adjust the lifting rod to keep the lever balanced. (It can be raised appropriately before the next stage of loading to reduce the tilt angle of the lever). At this time, it is generally unnecessary to turn the handwheel clockwise to prevent the soil sample from vibrating due to gaps.
